My take on raw food recipies
Who comes up with raw food recipies, have you ever wondered that? I have many times. I found some recipes on line and even in some cook books that made me wonder; who would sits down and calls this a recipe. I’m not sure where it says that if you are a raw foodist, your food shouldn’t have any taste. If someone can please tell me where to find these rules; because I’d like to see them. So many wonderful flavors exist today and they are natural. They aren’t manufactured in a factory or on a production line. They are grown in back yards or herb gardens. They are found in the fragrant vegetables and legumes even in nuts. So why are there so many raw food recipies that are bland or are only seasoned with sea salt? I’m not sure why most recipes don’t include them.
I have found a few cook books that believe in not just eating to be healthy, but also to enjoy what you are eating. These offer various recipes for raw food and they are all very fragrant and well seasoned with all raw items. Basil, thyme and parsley, yum, I can’t tell you how wonderful those herbs are, especially in soups and dressings. Yes I have seen garlic being used in some items but mainly the long timed favorite of a lot of raw food recipes happens to be sea salt.
Ok well I’m a try it at home and then improve on it kind of person. So that is basically what I have decided I would do when it comes down to the bare bones raw food recipies. I find them, like the concept and then take it to the next level. There a lot of foods that I enjoyed when I ate unhealthy and it wasn’t because the actual food was so good, no it was because of the taste of the food. I enjoyed the way the chef blended the seasonings. I liked the way every one of my taste buds were assaulted when I put the particular food in my mouth. In the end you should make the raw food recipies that you find work for you. If you decide to change up the recipe make sure that you keep the ingredients the same, raw. There is no substitute for that. But whatever you do, make sure you enjoy your raw food, every single bite of it.
