A raw food diet for weight loss purposes

Should you start a raw food diet for weight loss purposes?  I would think that it might not be a bad reason to start a raw food diet.  Most people actually start a raw food diet for that main purpose.  But is that the right reason to start such an intense and often challenging diet?  I don’t know, but let’s take a look at what the diet entails and what you are going to need to do to make sure that you’re successful.

Ok for starters plenty of people have started a raw food diet for weight loss and have been successful.  Many of them are still on the raw food diet and many of them are not.  Some of them got the results that they were looking for and then went back to eating cooked foods.  Many of them still try to maintain a certain amount of raw food in their diets, but they aren’t totally eating raw food.

So what does it mean to eat a raw food diet for weight loss?  It means changing your diet and your thinking.  It means giving up all the processed and refined foods that we love to consume.  Sure you can still eat a small amount of cooked food, but for optimal results going all raw is the way.  You are going to have to pay attention to the types of fresh foods you eat, making sure that you mix the right combinations of foods.  No more delivery pizza for you, but it’s not as bad as it may seem.  I ate a raw food pizza the other night and it was delicious.  And while I was pleasantly surprised at the fact that I could actually eat six slices and not gain a pound, I still got to eat pizza.

What’s the best avenue for losing weight? I would have to say by far the best options for me would be the raw food diet for weight loss.  Oh sure, you’re not impressed.  You probably aren’t interested in changing the way you eat.  You probably enjoy eating all those foods that add pounds to your frame from just looking at them much less eating them, right?  That’s what you would rather do.  You would rather eat and keep gaining weight.  You would prefer to enjoy the continuous visits to the doctors and with the pharmacist.  Well if you don’t enjoy regular visits to the doctors or the need to take numerous kinds of pharmaceuticals to aid in giving you reasonable health, then perhaps this would be for you.

Enjoying A Raw Food Diet For Weight Loss

You feel like a raw food diet for weight loss isn’t a good plan? Why not? Have you looked around lately and seen what our country is coming to when it comes down to food?  Have you noticed that our food portions have not just doubled in size but sometimes tripled?  Everywhere they are offering super sized this and extra large that.  And almost all of it is fried, cooked with fat or has some kind of fat on it.  I can’t tell you when I last saw a salad at a restaurant or fast food joint that we live off of that had anything raw in it.  Oh sure they threw a bunch of ice berg lettuce in a bowl with one slice of tomato, three slivers of carrots and two stripes of red cabbage. And that’s what they call a salad, but it’s not.

Enjoying fresh fruit and vegetables along with eating nuts and grains is a healthy way to achieve weight loss.  This in reality is based on the fact that you are participating in a raw food diet resulting in weight loss.  If you are thinking I’m crazy for even suggesting it, trust me I’m not.
